Cheese making was originally brought to Yorkshire in the 11th century by monks who arrived from Normandy and now we are pretty damn good at making it ourselves. At Beatson we believe in buying local where possible, these ‘Yorkshire’ cheeses rival the world –

Wensleydale – Firm Favourite, made internationally famous by ‘Wallace & Gromit’

Rowley Goats – hand made in the Yorkshire Wolds, soft & smooth, melts in the mouth.

Yorkshire Blue – more than a match to Stilton, say no more….!

Old Peculiar – Creamy Yellow Cheese, washed in Theakston’s Old Peculiar, a bit different!

Barncliffe Brie – why go to France, when we have this local gem on our doorstep at Shelley?

Cheese board with a choice of 3 cheeses £10, 4 cheeses £11.50, 5 cheeses £13   (Can be gf)
